Using TikTok Creators to Boost Skiddle’s Online Presence & Capture New Audiences.

Event discovery platform, Skiddle, wanted to reach university students across the UK for fresher’s week and beyond.

Objectives

  • Grow Skiddle’s student audience in key university cities across the UK 
  • Cement Skiddle’s reputation as the go-to platform for finding and attending the best events

What we did.

With the knowledge that freshers turn to social media for inspo about what to do and where to go in their new cities, we knew local creators were key in driving new audiences to Skiddle’s social channels, and ultimately, supporting ticket sales. 

We researched bustling University cities across the UK and narrowed these down to 11 key student cities – targeting those with high student populations and the best student events available on Skiddle. 

We researched content creators who were at Uni in these cities (currently or previously), reaching out to those who were the best fit for the brand. We wanted to ensure that any creators representing Skiddle in this campaign were relatable, funny, light-hearted and friendly – to cement Skiddle’s reputation as a fun and reliable brand. 

To boost ticket sales of their offering of student events, we suggested the creation of student guides for these key chosen cities to engage freshers & older students alike. In these TikTok guides, creators would show their favourite spots to eat, drink, shop & the best events on Skiddle all within a student-friendly £50 budget, plus their top freshers tips for navigating uni life. The guides mainly targeted new students moving to the city – showing them the best places to go and things to do, in turn, showing new students Skiddle’s huge student offering, with a goal of turning them into repeat customers & Skiddle fans.

We managed the full campaign, ensuring key messaging was communicated via in-depth briefs and creating individual tracking links to dedicated Skiddle landing pages for each city so we could measure CTR and demonstrate ROI to help inform future influencer campaigns.

The campaign successfully cemented Skiddle into the student space, positioning them as a trustworthy & fun brand and ensuring that students would go to their platform looking for tickets for their favourite events.
