Shiko Group’s seasonal lineup was ready – our job was to get Manchester talking. From Courts Club’s festive transformation into the city’s newest ice rink, to The Dome’s exclusive Winter Oasis rooftop, and The Lawn Club’s magical Festive Yurt and bottomless brunch, Manchester was set for the ultimate holiday season.

Our mission? Generate buzz that would drive bookings, social content, and footfall across all three venues – ensuring Shiko Group dominated Manchester’s festive conversation from Christmas through to New Year’s Eve.

The Challenge.

Manchester’s festive scene gets louder each year, with venues and pop-ups all competing for space in press roundups and For You Pages. With so much happening, we needed to make sure key local press and creators experienced the venues at the perfect moment – capturing the standout features that would resonate with Manchester audiences.

Timing added another layer of complexity: the busy holiday season meant press and creators were inundated with invites. Strategic scheduling and careful curation were key to ensuring attendance and coverage

The Solution.

We delivered a multi-venue campaign that positioned Shiko Group as Manchester’s go-to festive destination. By leveraging the three distinct venues – Courts Club, The Dome, and The Lawn Club individually – we created multiple hooks for What’s On roundups, ensuring Shiko Group appeared across Festive and New Year guides citywide.

Courts Club’s Winter Assembly ice rink and Chalaoke cabins gave us fresh talking points and positioned the new venue in the city as one of Manchester’s must-visit festive activities with its first-ever Christmas offering.

The Dome’s Winter Oasis rooftop brought something entirely new to Manchester’s Christmas scene – an aspirational, sleek, beautifully festive venue designed for social sharing. Its unique look and vibe made it a natural fit for lifestyle press and creator coverage.

Plus, The Lawn Club’s Festive Yurt and bottomless brunch returned as a seasonal favourite, reimagined with new decor and a fresh festive offering on the menu. Highlighting this ensured strong press mentions and kept the experience feeling just as exciting as a first-time visit.

A social-first approach backed this up, with posts from creators like @outandabout.mcr driving organic visibility alongside traditional press. TikTok and Instagram content from The Dome alone reached 609K total views and almost 16K likes – proof that roundup coverage, combined with shareable creator content, kept Shiko Group top of mind throughout the season.

Following Christmas, we maintained momentum by re-pitching venues as New Year hotspots with their 2025 countdown events, securing additional coverage and keeping Shiko Group front-and-centre right through to January

As well as one combined press release across all venues, we also built tailored messaging for each venue. This ensured that Courts Club, The Dome, and The Lawn Club each had their own spotlight in the media landscape while still contributing to Shiko Group’s overall festive story. This secured strong placement in Christmas and New Year roundups, positioning the venues as unmissable destinations across the season.

Influencer Amplification
We handpicked a curated mix of Manchester-based lifestyle, foodie, and what’s on creators to experience each venue. By guiding them towards the most visually engaging moments, we ensured their content felt authentic while maximising shareability. This turned influencer visits into high-performing TikTok and Instagram posts that extended reach well beyond the venues, driving both buzz and bookings.

Event Engagement & Launch Support
Scoop also supported on-site at launch nights for Courts Club and The Dome, managing guest flow, influencers, and coordinating content capture to ensure the best possible coverage. We worked hand-in-hand with the Shiko team to spotlight key features and keep the atmosphere seamless (and festive!) – allowing guests to fully enjoy the experience while generating the kind of content that would keep the venues front of mind throughout the season.
