Meet the Team: Bethan

  1. What is your role at Scoop?

I am an Account Executive at Scoop. I initially joined the company as a work experience intern during my Masters course in PR and Digital Communication. Following a 10-day work experience period and some part-time work, I was lucky enough to be offered a full time position and am now a fully-fledged Scoop team member! I assist with researching, writing and pitching press releases, reporting and tracking coverage and media and influencer outreach, amongst many other exciting things. 

  1. Which is the best PR/Marketing project you’ve worked on?

Launching the first UK drive-thru for American fried chicken restaurant, Popeyes®, has been my favourite project so far. It was a super fun brief that involved collaborating with influencers and creating some fun content – we also managed to gain national coverage! I loved brainstorming creative activations and engaging local businesses with free chicken sandwiches. 

  1. What’s your favourite thing to do in Manchester?

There’s too many to choose from! Having lived in Manchester my entire life, I like to consider myself a bit of an expert. When it comes to dining out, a few of my favourite spots include Rudy’s Pizza (the calabrese pizza with chili honey is just gorg), The Firehouse for a roast dinner and The Pasta Factory in Ancoats. Going to the Etihad Stadium to watch Manchester City play is probably my favourite thing to do (but I’m definitely biased). 

  1. What motivates you?

Achieving maximum success is a driving force for me, fueling my determination to grow and excel. I like researching successful people in my field and engaging in continuous professional development by participating in training opportunities, such as webinars, to enhance my knowledge and skills. The whole Scoop team is a huge inspiration; their collective talent, creativity, and hard work constantly motivate me to push myself, think innovatively, and strive to be the best!

  1. What do you do in your spare time?

I LOVE sports… Whether this is going to the gym, playing netball or watching football (Man City, obviously). Otherwise, you will most likely find me online shopping for clothes wayyyyy too often, and spending time with my nearest and dearest.
