Brand Marketing
We take brands from being known to being genuinely cared about.
Being recognised isn’t the same as being valued. Plenty of businesses have visibility without ever building a relationship with the people they’re trying to reach – and that’s where the real commercial value gets left on the table. Brand marketing at Scoop starts with the thinking: who you are, what you stand for, and why anyone should choose you over the next name on the list.
We build from strategy first.
Whether you need full brand strategy management – the ongoing thinking, tone and direction behind everything you put out – or a sharper communications framework to bring discipline to work you’re already doing, we build from strategy first. Every output, from PR to content to events, performs better when the brand thinking underneath it is solid.
What we build
From there, we build the framework that makes everything else work.
Brand positioning
Brand positioning that gives you a genuine point of difference.
Positioning is the decision underneath everything else: who you are for, what you stand against, and what you are happy to leave to someone else. We work that out with you, then write it down plainly enough that your team, your agencies and your press office all tell the same story.
Messaging
Messaging that sounds like you, not like every other agency-written line in your sector.
We build the language your brand actually uses: the lines that do the heavy lifting, the words you own and the ones you avoid. It has to hold up in real life, on a press release, a menu, a recruitment ad or a reply to a bad review, without a rewrite every time.
Campaigns & creative
Campaigns and creative work designed to build a lasting relationship with your audience, not just a spike in impressions.
Every campaign starts from the positioning, so the idea is recognisably yours rather than a trend borrowed for a fortnight. We plan the moments, make the work and see it through delivery, then judge it on what moved: bookings, covers, footfall, the numbers your board actually asks about.
Brand marketing for hospitality, food & drink and property brands
We build brand strategy for hospitality operators, food and drink businesses and property brands to name a few – sectors where being well liked with a genuine community behind it means so more than just being known.
Hospitality & venues
Hotels, bars and late-night venues, where positioning shows up in occupancy and repeat visits.
Food & drink
Restaurants, QSR and drinks brands, where being liked decides whether people come back.
Property & placemaking
Developers and destination brands selling a place, where perception moves footfall.
If your brand is growing fast but your positioning hasn’t kept up, this is where we start.

“Working with Scoop PR has been nothing short of exceptional. What started as project-based support for the launch of our leisure venture, Archie’s Atomic, quickly evolved into a full-time partnership. Most recently, they were instrumental in the success of our campaign with Manchester rap artist Aitch – from concept to coverage, they absolutely delivered.
They understand our brand, move fast, and bring a level of passion and professionalism that’s hard to come by. We couldn’t be happier to have them in our corner.”
Imran Rafiq, Archie’s Director & Co-founder
“Scoop play a key part in shaping our UK restaurant opening strategy. Their mix of PR, influencer partnerships, and creative ideas have delivered real impact, tailored to each location with strong regional expertise. Tasked to ‘bring the hype’, every launch has created buzz and excitement, with queues out the door on opening day. Scoop continues to be a fantastic partner in driving awareness and momentum as Popeyes continues to expand nationwide”
Georgie Ross, Head of Central Marketing at Popeyes
“Scoop were so much fun to work with! The team are not only super collaborative but they have really creative ideas and ALWAYS bought the energy.
We saw some great successes in the form of coverage as well as some really great visits to our Distillery as part of our brand launch, and appreciated their organisation and coordination skills for a virtual press tasting we held for the launch of our first barrel matured Rum.
Team Scoop are an asset to any business, and we wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them to anyone considering working with them”
Vicki Georgiou, Head of Marketing at DropWorks
“Scoop have been a dream to work with; proactive, creative, adaptable and speedy. They amplified our Get Baked collaboration to new levels with regional press & influencer activity that felt fun and exciting driving reach and engagement for our brand. During a busy time, they took a lot of the pressure off my team and landed brilliant activity on time and in budget. Would love to work with this great team again on future projects”
Alys Milburn, Head of Marketing at ManiLife

FAQs
What is brand strategy?
Brand strategy is the thinking behind how a brand positions itself in the world – its values, its voice, how it wants to be perceived, and how it differentiates from competitors. It’s not your logo or your colour palette. It’s the stuff that makes all of those decisions feel coherent.
For growing businesses, brand strategy is often the missing piece. You can have great products, a brilliant team, and real momentum – but without clear positioning, it’s hard to scale because nobody knows quite what you stand for.
It isn’t just about metrics, it’s about meaning. It’s loud out there, and so while everyone else is following a trend and mimicking each other, we’re busy building brands to last. We work with brands at the point where they’ve outgrown their current positioning and need to level up.
What is brand communications?
Most people think PR is about getting press coverage – and it is, but that’s a tool, not a strategy. Brand communications works upstream: it’s the positioning, messaging, and narrative that makes PR, content, and every other channel land harder and mean more.
Without that foundation, you can earn a double-page spread in a national title and still leave readers with no real sense of what you stand for. The briefs that generate the best work aren’t the ones asking for “20 pieces of coverage”, they’re the ones sharing business goals, commercial targets and what success actually looks like beyond a press clipping.
If your marketing feels reactive, your channels feel disconnected, or your campaigns generate noise but not traction, that’s a signal you need more than a PR agency.
What is a communications strategy?
A communications strategy is the overarching plan that defines what you want to say, who you’re saying it to, through which channels, and why. It’s the difference between reactive marketing (responding to things as they happen) and building a brand people actually recognise and trust over time.
A good comms strategy covers your core messaging, your audience priorities, your channel mix, and how you’ll measure success. Without it, even brilliant creative work can feel inconsistent.
What do you look for in a client?
We work best with brands that are ambitious, have something genuinely interesting to say, and are ready to invest properly in communications – not just dip a toe in. Our strongest client relationships are with businesses that see us as a strategic partner, not a supplier.
In practice, that usually means: a brand with real growth plans, a team that’s engaged and responsive, a budget that reflects the ambition and an openness to being challenged as well as supported.
The clients we tend not to be a good fit for are those who want PR as a box-ticking exercise, have no appetite for bold ideas or aren’t sure what they’re trying to achieve. Not because they’re bad clients, but just because we won’t be able to do our best work for them.
